THE AREA
Set on Mt. Mansfield, Vermont’s highest peak, Stowe Resort has been known for decades as the “Ski Capital of the East. ” The Mountains of Stowe – Mt. Mansfield and Spruce Peak, offer the finest natural ski and snowboarding terrain in the Northeast, with 39 miles of trails for skiers of all ages and abilities. Stowe is also home to an exceptional 150 km network of cross country ski trails. Stowe represents the quintessential Vermont experience – a charming New England town surrounded by the majestic Green Mountains and scenic rolling farmland. The famous Stowe Recreation Path weaves its way past farms, through the forest, and over footbridges to the center of quaint Stowe Village. You are invited to walk, bike, blade or cross country ski the five mile path, named one of the “19 Great Walks of the World. ”Visitors to Stowe enjoy browsing through country stores and shops specializing in handcrafted Vermont products. A variety of antique shops are located in the village and surrounding area. Dining is an attraction in itself at Stowe, with an amazing variety of dining experiences offered by over 50 area restaurants.
THE APARTMENTS
Mountainside offers a variety of quality accommodations. One to four bedroom units are tastefully furnished and feature private phones, decks, large closets, fireplaces, modern appliances and individually controlled heat. Living room sofas open to beds for additional sleeping space. All units are designed for comfortable family-style dining, entertaining and relaxing with an open floor plan. Sliding glass doors lead to expansive decks with comfortable lounge furniture and picturesque mountain and forest views. DIRECTIONS
From the airport and points west, take Route 89 South. From most points south, take Interstate Route 89 North to Exit 10. Get off on Exit 10 and take Route 100 North into Stowe Village (about 15 minutes). Turn left onto Route 108, the Mountain Road, for 3 miles. Turn right onto Cottage Club Road. Mountainside Resort is on the left.
