THE AREA
Originally founded by the Baron Hubert Van Pantz, the Mittersill Alpine Resort offers the splendor of the New Hampshire White Mountains The design of the Inn is based on a European castle, Countess Larisch Wallersee's medieval castle Schloss Mittersill in the Pinzgau Valley Tirol Austria, that had been owned by the Baron. Mittersill is an all year round resort with plenty to enjoy whichever season you choose to visit. A ride on the Aerial Tramway on Cannon Mountain unveils spectacular scenery not to be missed. Mittersill Alpine Resort in Franconia, New Hampshire opened in 1945. The Mittersill Alpine Resort and the surrounding village chalets were built in authentic Austrian style. The Baron's dynamic personality and unique background created an immediately successful resort. The resort is surrounded by natural beauty and abuts Franconia Notch State Park. Although numerous expansions and renovations have occurred during the last 20 years, particular care has been taken to retain the Austrian flavor and ambiance of the original resort.
THE APARTMENTS
The 1, 2 and 3 bedroom units have a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher whilst the studio units have a partial kitchen. The studio units which sleep 2 have a double bed and a bath. One bedroom units sleeping 2 have a double bed and a bath whilst other 1 bedroom units sleep 4 have a king, queen or double bed, a sofa bed and a bath. Two bedroom units sleeping 6 have 1 king or 1 queen bed, 2 twin beds and 1 sofa bed + 2 baths. Other 2 bedroom units sleep up to 8 and have 2 king or queen beds and 2 sofa beds or 2 king or queen beds, 2 twin beds and 1 sofa bed and 2 baths. No pets are allowed at the resort.
