Whistler Vacation Club, British Columbia, Canada

THE AREA

Locals attribute Whistler's success to the serene mountain views, recreational pursuits and shared enjoyment with family and friends. Boutiques and cafes line the Village, and around the corner paths lead to natural streams and a panorama of glaciers and ski slopes. The resort offers everything in the way of activities but there is so much more to explore in this scenic area that a car is essential, although the public transport is just outside the door.

DIRECTIONS

From Vancouver Airport proceed on the airport causeway and take the Arthur Lang Bridge into Vancouver. Exit the bridge via the Granville Street off ramp. Continue north on Granville into downtown Vancouver, crossing over Granville Street Bridge. At the far end exit via the Seymour Street exit, a right lane off ramp. Continue on Seymour to Georgia Street, turn left on Georgia. Continue through Stanley Park, then over the Lions Gate suspension bridge. At the far end carry on to the West Vancouver exit, which then leads onto Marine Drive. Stay in right-hand lane, over a green bridge and to a stop light at Taylor Way. Turn right and head up the hill. Merge to the left as you approach the Highway 1 overpass. Once under the overpass, immediately turn left. You are now on Highway 1. Travel west along this highway and as you approach Horseshoe Bay the road will sweep right and downhill. Take the right-hand turnoff, Highway 66, the Sea to Sky Highway. Follow this all the way to Whistler. Once in Whistler proceed to the fourth set of traffic lights and turn right. Turn right again at the end of the block onto Northlands Blvd. Turn right again at the Twin Peaks Resort sign. The check-in is on the right of the pool area.
