Republic of Malta is an island country located in the Mediterranean Sea. All in all, the country consists of 3 islands: Malta, Gozo and Comino. Malta is the largest and most frequently visited island. According to statistics, every year 1,6 million tourists choose Malta as the country to spend their holiday in. What it is that makes the country so appealing from the point of view of a tourist? First of all, there is the climate. Valetta (the capital of Malta) has recently been stated to be the sunniest city in Europe. Those living in Valetta can enjoy the sunshine 300 days in a year. The fact makes the city a perfect tourist destination almost all year round. One more thing that makes Malta so attractive for tourists is the sea. It is considered to be one of the cleanest seas in Europe.

Comino
The smallest island of Malta that’s known to be a paradise for snorkelers, divers, windsurfers and ramblers. Be sure to include Comino in the list of places to visit while in Malta. Even though there aren’t any places of interest, you’ll definitely won’t regret coming to the island. You can visit the Blue Lagoon (the main attraction of the island) or take a small walk along the island. (There are no cars on the island since it can be easily discovered on foot) Natural beauty and picturesque views are the things that make the island worth visiting.
Gozo
Gozo is the 2nd largest island offering a change from everyday hustle and bustle of Malta island. It’s impossible to not fell in love with Gozo. Secluded lagoons and caves, small villages and amazing landscapes – what else there is to wish on a holiday? There is a number of historic sites you may find to be worth visiting. For example, Ggantija. It’s one of the oldest temple complexes in the world.
