Truly a special place for you to spend your holiday. 200 metres from your doorstep you can travel across the lake by ferry, on foot or by car, to experience the beauty of Claiff Heights, which offers spectacular views up and down the lake and beyond. The traditional picturesque villages of Hawkshead, with it's numerous traditional pubs and tearooms and Sawrey, the home of Beatrix Potter, are only a short car or bus journey away. Within a mile of the Marina is the popular village of Bowness, which has a variety of shops, restaurants and hostelries. The villages of Windermere and Ambleside are a little beyond here and the world-renowned dramatic scenery of the Langdale valley is only a short drive away. Whether it is outdoor pursuits or walking, learning or lazing, that you desire, the numerous mountains, lakes, museums, villages, cosy pubs and restaurants of the Lake District have something to offer for everyone.
THE APARTMENTS
Each cottage is built with timber, slate and local stone. Inside you will find the beautifully fitted continental kitchen features a De Dietrich oven and ceramic hob, dish-washer and waste disposal unit, fridge / freezer, blender and a microwave. Sumptuous bedrooms, an opulent bath and a superb upstairs living area with its own private balcony over -looking the Marina Lake. Each cottage is fully insulated and centrally heated, so you can holiday in comfort any time of the year. Please note that there is a charge for electricity.

DIRECTIONS
Windermere Marina Village is just fifteen minutes from the M6 and easy to find:Take junction 36 off the M6 Motorway. Stay in the left-hand lane of the slip road and filter left towards Kendal on the A 590. Continue along the A 590 (which becomes the A 591). At the first roundabout turn left along the B 5284 (Crook Road) signed, Hawkshead via Ferry. At the end of the B 5284 turn left and immediately right into Longtail Hill (still signed Hawkshead via Ferry). At the bottom of Longtail Hill you can see the Marina through the trees directly in front of you. To find the entrance turn left onto the A 592 and after 100 metres turn right into Windermere Marina Village. You will find our reception is directly in front of you, located in the Marina Centre.
