Melfort Village is on Scotland’s West Coast, close to the shores of beautiful Loch Melfort. The 19th century stone cottages of the old village blend charmingly with the surrounding tranquil countryside. Guests can enjoy swimming, horseback riding, tennis, boat trips and fishing. Water-sports facilities are available nearby. The area is ideal for sightseeing, where every turn in the road provides a breathtaking view. THE APARTMENTS
The cottages have a wide variety of accommodations ranging from one to three bedroom units, offering varying layouts including bunkrooms and sofa-beds, sleeping from two to eight guests. Each cottage is equipped to the highest standard with colour TV, VCR, full kitchen including dishwasher, oven and microwave, enabling guests to self-cater with ease. Laundry facilities and large communal chest freezers are situated centrally. There is a utility fee levied for the use of electricity. Dogs are allowed on site and there is a fee of Ј15. 00 per dog per week and Ј7. 50 for a second dog. DIRECTIONS
You should expect a drive of 2Ѕ hours from Glasgow and 3Ѕ hours from Edinburgh. From Glasgow, follow the A82 along Loch Lomond to Tarbet where you take the left fork onto the A83, through Arrochar and Inveraray to Lochgilphead. Kilmelford is 23 miles north of Lochgilphead on the A816. The turn off for Melfort is on the left hand side just before the village of Kilmelford.
