THE AREA
The resort is on the outskirts of Funchal with a complimentary shuttle service into the centre of town. Funchal is a fascinating historic town and excursions across the whole island can also be readily organised. Supermarkets and restaurants are nearby and the new sea promenade starts from the Lido below the apartments. Walkers can also join organised groups, such as 'Turivema' for wonderful views of the interior of the island from the lavadas and mountains.
THE APARTMENTS
All units are comfortably furnished. Both the Studio and the one bedroom units have partial kitchens - but are well equipped for traditional cooking. Daily maid service is provided. The apartments are furnished in traditional style and the one bedroom units have 2 large rooms with separate entrance, a bathroom and balcony with a sea view. Please note that there is no microwave in the studio apartment. The resort enjoys partial sea view.

DIRECTIONS
Please take a taxi from the airport - this is very cheap and readilly available. As it is a Wednesday check-in you will need to fly via Lisbon - make the most of this opportunity and visit this lovely city in Portugal before heading on to Madeira. If you wish to fly by charter you will need to check with resort whether there is hotel accommodation available as these fly on Mondays.
