THE AREA
The resort is located among 100 acres of pristine Maritime Forest that adjoins almost 700 acres of wildlife preserve. Both the resort and the preserve are home to all types of waterfowl, deer, fox and raccoons. The area is considered by nature lovers as "paradise on earth". The forest is robust with vegetation ranging from fern, cypress knees to hundred-year-old holly, hickory and oak trees. This wonderful tranquil setting is surrounded by the beautiful beaches and sounds of North Carolina's Outer Banks. Located on the northern limits of the town of Kitty Hawk the resort offers close proximity to area attractions, shopping, restaurants, the ocean and the sound. Beach-goers will enjoy their own private and secure beach access and parking which is directly next to a town bathhouse with showers. The beach is wide, soft and clean and there are lifeguards on duty all summer long. Boaters will appreciate the close proximity to ramps and marinas while fishermen will love the wide variety of opportunities offered by the surf, sound and of course Golf Stream. Golfers will enjoy challenging courses that offer a variety of settings and designs.

DIRECTIONS
From the airport take 1-64 to Rte 168 South, then Hwy 158 East toward Kitty Hawk. When you cross the Wright Memorial Bridge, get into your right-hand lane and gothrough the first two stop lights. Just before the third stop light turn right, signed Shoreside Centre/Barrier Island Station. Take the road beside Wal-Mart (Cypress Knee Trail), go past the pond and follow the road around the lake to the check in.
