THE AREA

Banff is located in the Rocky Mountains and offers many winter activities, such as downhill skiing at Sunshine Village, Mount Norquay and Lake Louise, cross country skiing, heli-skiing and sleigh rides. In the summer, enjoy heli-hiking, hot springs, fishing, golfing, horseback riding and boating. The Sulphur Mountain Gondola Lift is one of the area’s many attractions. The Banff Rocky Mountain Resort is located in a spectacular setting within the Banff National Park. It is a very spacious area with wildlife freely roaming & one of the many attractions in the area is the Sulphur Mountain Gondola Lift. The resort features a fitness club, squash, indoor pool, indoor / outdoor hot tubs and restaurants. A free shuttle service is available to downtown Banff.

 

THE APARTMENTS

Each unit offers a fireplace, cable television and a kitchen with microwave oven and stove top. Movie and Nintendo rental are available. Small pets are allowed at the resort for $15 CDN/pet/day. A security deposit in the amount of $50 CDN/day, payable by credit card or cash, is required at check in. Please note that units are smaller than average due to National Park building code regulations.

DIRECTIONS

The nearest major airport is Calgary International, approximately 136 km away (1 1/2hrs). From the airport, take Barlow Trail to Trans Canada Highway 1 and follow the signs to Banff National Park. Once inside the park, take the first Banff exit. The resort is 0. 8 km on the left at the corner of Banff Avenue and Tunnel Mountain Road. National Park regulations state that all vehicles stopping in Banff National Park are subject to a ‘Motor Vehicle Permit’, which must be purchased at the Park Entrance at the cost of approx. $70 CDN for a week or longer. There are also several companies that provide shuttle service to Banff from the airport.
